    Does it get any better?

I think not!! Went on a weekend camping trip and float trip with the Scouts. We camped near the Coal River Friday and Saturday nights and floated about a 6-7 mile section on Saturday. We had 10 canoes/kayaks with 11 Scouts and 7 aduts.

Fishing was awful as the water was very milky/muddy from Friday rains, but the rope swing and swimming was excellent!

I found a couple of trees and hung both nights and must take the time to thank 2QZQ once again for the fantastic zipper mod to my HH. Getting in/out of the hammock is so much better using top entry, especially for the early morning bathroom strolls.

After the float trip it was time for the obligatory Scout Master nap during which my HH got a little stuffy -- unzipped both sides of the bug net rolled back the top and had a great nap in my 'convertible'.

That looked like a really good time - only made more evident by me sitting at my desk all day!

Good job. Any converts on that trip?
We are now ready to start our way down the Great Unknown. We are three quarters of a mile in the depth of the earth. We have an unknown distance yet to run, an unknow river yet to explore. What falls there are, we know not; what rocks beset the channel, we know not; what walls rise over the river, we know not. Ah, well! We may conjecture many things. The men talk as cheerfully as ever; jests are bandied about freely this morning; but to me the cheer is somber and the jests are ghastly. Powell 1869

Thanks for all your good work with the Scouts. Those boys will remember you all of their lives.

Wow, what most of us wouldn't give to have been along on that event. Helping young men learn to enjoy the great outdoors has to be one of the highest callings.
