My butt hit the floor Sunday night :(

I have no clue how it happened. Got up around 2300 to take care business, came back in and sat down on the Traveler, kicked off my house slipper and zing/bang, I hit the floor. After making sure all my parts were still functioning, I turned on the light and checked it out. I figured maybe the webbing had broken, but nope. The webbing was intact but not still in the beaner. I suppose the beaner popped open, but I can't figure out how. Oh well, I restrung it to the rack and got back in. No further problems.
I guess I am now in the "those who have hit the ground/floor" category instead of the "those who will hit the ground/floor" category.

At least you sustained no major damage to yourself, and I bet you also developed an instant habit of looking at the suspension each time you start to sit down, I know that I sure would have.

It's not a terribly exclusive club, but welcome anyhow. Glad you sustained minimal/no damage. Hopefully this will be the end of it .
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

just had this happen to me on the SHT in my WBBB, One of the buckles on the webbing was twisted and down I went. I was hanging over a big rock that I was using as a night stand but luckily I missed it.

I can tell you how it happened to me, I grabbed BOTH edges of the hammock and pulled them to mid thigh and sat, kerplunk flat on my backside! It was a good laugh but I was glad no one was there to embarrass me further! I hope to never do that again....
