    Newb Ridgeline Question

Ok, so I am about to order some amsteel for my whoopie slings and that got me thinking about the next piece of the puzzel. My ridgeline!

I know I want an adjustable (since I do not know how long I want) but I could do this with a single line and a few knots.

I was hoping people would describe thier ridgeline in some detail to help me and others better understand.

Whoopie as a ridgeline? Single line with a fixed loop? type of line? Knots?

    Thanks in advance everyone.

if doing adjustable.. design a 'long' whoopie sling. something like 90" - 115"

that should give you all the span you need to find your money spot.

I use a UCR (utility constructor rope) ridgeline.

A bowline knot at each end of the hammock and two 6' pieces of line with at least a foot of overlap at the center of the hammock. Then simply pass one line through the other at the overlap.

I bury each of the free ends coming out of the constrictor back into themselves to prevent the constrictor being pulled apart when not under tension.
