    Salutations from a Mile High

I've been gleaning little bits of information from this site here and there, finally gonna say "hi."
Been backpacking, but brand spankin' new to hanging. Became interested as a way to cut down on weight. Also love DIY and MYOG projects, and this method seems to offer plenty of opportunities.
First order of business: never had or used trekking poles, fixin' to make me a pair. CF blanks on order. Any advice on assembly welcomed.
Next? I dunno, I guess you tell me. Sounds like I need to get a sewing machine though...

MMMike: Those fish look tasty. Clovis eh? I grew up right around the bend.
Everyone else: Thank you for the warm welcome (as though it is insulated from both sides). I like the fact that y'all are from such a wide dispersion, makes me think these things might work just about everywhere.
