    Hello from Missouri

    Hi all. I'm a new member for a couple of weeks now and got interested in hammocks from an article in a local electric coop publication. I recently completed a mini bike tour from St. Louis to central Missouri following the Great Rivers Road north, crossing the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers near Grafton then picking up the KATY trail for the rest of the way. I started doing research on the possibility of a hammock before my trip and figured out that I didn't have enough time to digest everything. So now I will continue watching this forum to make an informed decision before my next trip. I'm anxious to shed the weight of the tent, sleeping pad and bag. Also, I met Medicine Man who is a regular poster on this forum while on the KATY trail. He said he was going to post something about me being a lurker. HEY MEDICINE MAN, NOT TRUE! I'M POSTING NOW! Hope you had a safe conclusion to your trip and come back to Missouri anytime.

    Welcome. I'm sure that once you get your hammock dialed in you will never go back to sleeping on the ground.
