    Folded End Hammock

I've tried searching the forum, but I'm sure I'm doing it wrong....

Are there any tutorials for folded end hammocks?
Preferably a video, but anything with some good pics would work.

Are you referring to using one long piece of fabric folded in half end-to-end to make a double layer hammock or using a double sheet bend (scroll down) to connect the suspension?

    Or something altogether different?

I was wondering if anyone else had different ways to fold the ends.

Is it just an accordion fold?

Gathered end is the term I believe, which covers a lot of area.

hppyfngy's link to Just Jeff is a good one. Just try different ways.

Although I have tried many different "folds", I don't really notice a substantial difference most of the time unless you "pull the corners out" as shown by Just Jeff.

Don't forget to try simply folding the end in half, hold the two corners in one hand, grab the fold with the other and just start gathering it up from the fold. Fast, easy and about as good as any other method.

    It ain't rocket science.

No, I just used one hand to stuff it in the other. I didn't even hem it. The good thing about that knot, it's tight and you can undo it very EZ.

Nice. Thanks, I'll have to try some different ones.
I think I'll pull the bottom out a little on the next one and see how that goes.
