    D-Rings........

It looks to me that ya'll use d-rings a lot like what's on a motorcycle helmet. pull the strap through both rings, then back around through only one ring. Am I correct?

So if I am correct and us hammock-ers use these for quick adjustments of sag, where do I get D-rings rated for this kind of stress?

I just got a Clark NX-200. I love it, but I am not real good with knots. I can tie them, just not always exactly where I want them.
    Just hangin' around.

    sling ring weigh

cavscout--did you go with the "small" 2in diameter ones, and if so, do you know how much they weigh?

    thanks

I'm using the "small" rings. I think they are .5 oz. weighed on a postal meter scale.

Here's some pics of the rings in action. The webbing is 1" Polypro.

great, thanks. Color options over the SMC rings could be nice. Glad they're working out for you.

When I saw the cinch buckles at $3.00 I was debating if I had made the wrong choice about using rings instead of the buckle but at this time I'm happy with the setup. If I need to cut any weight of the suspension I'll just drop my 'biners and slip the webbing through the loop on the other end before tensioning the webbing.

The color choice is a nice bonus. The green ones in the pic are samples they sent me to test. I've sense purchased a set of black. They appear to be powder coated but I'm not certain. They don't look anodized and the finish has held up so far. No noticeable scuffing or ware.

I've been trying out Cavscout's slingrings they hold my 200lbs no problem. The green is the nicest looking color I have, but the slate & bronze are pretty good too. The black is well,... black. Weighed in on my scales at 13.1 grams each.

My knife is so sharp it cut the sixth finger off my right hand! On the plus side, Inigo Montoya no longer hunts me.
