Sunrise, last weekend on the Crest Trail near Ruidoso, NM. Hanging in a grove of Bramble Oaks.
That seems like a bad idea, if it's a lake and no chop maaybe... Think about it, you fall asleep wave comes or boat shifts and your under water trying to figure out where to go, surface underneath the pontoon and your still stuck... Or you get wrapped up in the cordage/hammock and stuck...

Slept in my hammock Saturday night, ten feet from the Little East Fork of the Pigeon River.
Slept really well too. Sound of the water was amazing.
My kids wanted to go to the park the other. I said, no problem.
