UCR Suspension-Tying up loose ends

I have never seen UCR Suspensions in person. So after making a set for myself I wanted to post a tread asking for feedback from Forum members that are using them, what you think about UCR's and the way I used the loose end of the bury to help pull the bury tight.

The Dynaglide ones I just used the end of the bury(Orange) and tied a "fishermens" knot to make a "brake"

The Amsteel ones I tied a "fishermens" knot onto the end of the bury(silver)& one on the adjustable line(yellow) out of Zing-it 1.75

I have tested the Amsteel ones. Adjusting the line and then sitting/dropping into the hammock. They never slipped !
The "Brake" has a good bit of resistance.

That should work well.
I went a step further on my "brake" system to make it detachable. The disadvantage to the way yours is done, is the fact that you have to move the "brake" and the bury to make any adjustments. Really, just an inconvenience.

So, I have a hook to connect my "brake" to the tail of the bury. When I'm adjusting the suspension, I unhook the "brake" and slide it all the way to the end. Then I move the bury back & forth until I'm happy with the adjustment. Only then do I slide the "brake" into position and hook it onto the tail of the bury.

But yours looks sleeker!

I agree with both of you. I use a 3/32" bungee prussic on my Dynaglide loopy slings (which are just UCRs in an adjustable loop), and they connect to the tail end with a small (Dutch) hook. I like the looks of Gustav's brakes, but I have hooks like MAD777's. As I get more used to loopys (loopies, loopeys?) I find I'm not always unhooking them for adjustments; the stretch in the bungee cord helps with that, in addition to maintaining tension.

I've been using some silicone tubing to make a nice slide for that for a couple of years now. A knot is probably easier to do.
