    New gear for 2007?

Has anyone seen or heard of any new gear for 2007 that is innovative or is a big improvement over last years offerings?

Once a gearhead, always a gearhead.

    No alcohol stove posts please.

I heard some talk from Ed Speers that he was testing some new cold weather option on his yahoo list. He did not say what it was.

I am placing my bet it is some sort of travel pod/sock. No good reason. Just a guess.

I got my first sewing lesson from BlackBishop yesterday (Thanks man). My hope for 2007 is that I can learn to sew well enough to modify / make some of my own gear. BD

I have some of the descending rings coming in the mail that Jeff posted he is using. I came up with an idea I want to try that would work as one piece without a biner. That's all I got right now.

As for sewing, go slow. I seam to get tired of sewing at some point and speed up, or overestimate my ability to mess something up. This usually results in me having to redo something.

I just got some SMC rings from REI - and I didn't have to pay shipping!!
