Talking I think I may have a problem.

So I started cleaning out my car this morning and was shocked at how much of my gear closet has found its way into the back seat of my car.
    1 trangia stove
4 budlite style / DIY stoves
    2 ENO DN
    1 set of slap straps
1 army surplus bug net hammock
    1 USGI mess kit
1 Coleman boy scout style mess kit
    1 Coleman pot set
Tent steaks ( no idea how these got here )
1 kmart grease pot ( it was the last one on the shelf )
A few ziplock knock off twist on storage thingys.
1 light my fire spork ..... Red
1 light my fire scout ferror rod
1 blast match and a few wet fire tinders.
    Half a pack of esbits
Oooh and my set of batch stovez cook set.

I think I'm becoming addicted to buying / making gear.

I use to be just a mild mannered camper, but now I'm looking at things completely differently now. Testing this against that, what's lighter, what will serve me better I'm the field. How could I make that? . When ever I try and talk to my wife she tells me " if it has anything to do with camping I'm not interested. She looks at me like I'm crazy. When I find something on the shelf that could be used other then its original purpose. Small children run from me my dog just sits there and growls at me............. I'm sick ........ Right? ........... Is there a cure?

If I were ever stranded somewhere, I only hope my car would have that much "survival" gear in it.

I think this might be normal for most of us.

Buy yourself a old V W Bus, then you would be ready for anything. I think we could live out of my daughters for a couple of years. The darned thing will go almost anywhere. It is a 1976 model, the same year I passed on when I was expecting her! LOL
