???I'm puzzled. If you hold the constrictor at the bury exit and pull on the bury tail, it should pull through easily???

I played with it all night. It seems to have pulled back the loose/short cut strands of the taper and binded down right at the end. That part is hard as a rock and I can't coax it loose. I can't pull it through and I can't pull it backward. It is stuck in both directions! It might be trash at this point.
What if I cut a couple more strands at the opening to make the exit hole larger? This might allow the bunched up end to pull through...would this compromise the function at all?

Cutting strands of the constrictor portion will greatly reduce the strength. Don't do it.
Bah! I had a feeling it would. Ok, thanks anyway for your help. I guess I'll just chaulk this one up to the learning process and buy a new one. Although, I'm not sure what I could do different next time.
Try working a knitting needle along side the exit of the bury. Sometimes this elps open up the bury till you get the line clear through. Then milk the bury after you are done before applying weight to your hammock.
Constriction works on the principle of the chinese finger puzzle. Is it possible to push the buried part from both ends to loosen the grip on the buried part? Another possible problem is that you may have not completely separated your strands on the start of the bury and it is causing extra friction.
Cheers
