...to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in bed and in hammock.

I love the Missus; the missus sleeps in a bed; I sleep in a bed. She, in turn, accepts that on family campouts I sleep in the hammock and occasionally outside in the stand when an infant gets fussy.

BTW, SilvrSurfr, I really like Dave's avatar, and now all I can see is a cat-head earring.
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

I ended up sleeping in a RECLINER FOR 4 YEARS. My back hurt so bad after an automobile accident. The Chiropractor fixed a lot of the soft tissue damage, but I still could not sleep in a bed or on the floor. Finally my Cardiologist insisted I sleep flat at night, something about it helps the heart beat more efficiently, so the lungs move the oxygen around, which moves the lymph fluid, which helps the body recover during sleep.

I tried many different types of beds, I could not stand the "Sleep Number Bed", I ended up with a TempurPedic. I had to take about three month to adjust to the bed. My mother really liked her "Sleep Number Bed" I guess it is just what your back problem is.

I sleep great in my HH, I wish I had it when I was traveling, many a night I slept, braced against a wall, in a motel/hotel room.

Love my bed too....I save the hammock as when I get to use it makes it special.
I do always try to go diagonal in the bed much to my wife's dismay))))

Hip flexors sounds about right. My wife showed me a hip stretch she learned at her exercise class that works some relief as well.

I give my wife heck all the time when trying to sleep in bed with her,,as she has the air conditioning on 68,,,and 2 fans on the floor at high speed blowing on her,,and the ceiling fan on high blowing down,,,freezing my *** off...even if I cover up,,then my bald top of my head is freezing,, she is so danged hot natured complaining always how hot it is,,,,so its the hammock in the living room for me,,of which you could set a bomb off beside me when I sleep in it,,such a great sleep,,,but,,downside of sleeping on my back is my excessive snoring,,of which if i sleep on my side in bed or hammock I don't snore at all.

I snore on my back too, but not on my side. I don't think I snore in a hammock, even though I rarely sleep on my side. At least, nobody has told me I snore.

As the fellas from the Iowa Hang can attest, I snore like a chain saw in my hammock. Sometimes Ill even wake myself up with a particularly loud snort.

I'm told I snore like a freight train in the hammock... I just sleep so well that I don't notice!
