    UV Blocking Considerations

Hi all… I'm new here, so I hope this isn't something that's previously been beat to death. I searched but didn't get any hits here in this forum.

The issue at hand is a tarp's UV blocking capability. What's the best fabric for that, or best tarp? I have very fair skin, being progenied from the land of Thor, so this is a bit crucial for me.

That is some neat material. I wonder how much warmth you could retain in the cold with the reflective on the underside.

If I ever spend some serious money on a tarp I might have to do this, but it does look a bit heavier.

You can probably use the reflective material from here http://www.backwoodsdaydreamer.com/p...oated-fabrics/ and sew it onto the back of some silnyon to make one yourself
