I have not had time to work on the new design because of other orders being filled.
Still have it, still working on it in my mind and will get back on it soon.

Pipsissewa, RePete & sargevining, sorry, I didn't mean to come across with negativity. I am open to any new innovation and wish anyone sincere kudos for innovating. I didn't realize the new hammock was still undergoing design when I saw the one posted on WH's website, I just assumed that was it.

Good point about a regular mattress not being dead flat, but needing to conform to the shape of the body. Looking forward to WH's final design and figuring out the references to Adirondack chairs. It brings to mind the plywood leg splint Charles and Ray Eames created for the military that began their careers. Here's hoping that lightning strikes here too!

GHPacific: No problem! No offense taken. The subject of a backpack/hammock deserves its own thread.

It's good to see that other people also try to keep improving hammocks!

We are doing the very same at the moment and a prototype will be send to Derek aka DEJOHA in a month. He 'volunteered' LOL!

We think that it will become THE HAMMOCK for outdoor use.
