    hanging plumbs in canada

i've decided that i'm going to travel back east, via the trans canadian hiway. this will by way of motorcycle b.c. to n.s.. i don't have a clear cut schedual that i'll be following, but- can anyone suggest good spots along this route, that would be good for stelth camping? i'd like to make a list, and if i find myself in need of a good spot within, say, an hour or two, i can find and set up camp...easyly in n out, so to speak.

I'd suggest looking crown land maps for each province along the route in which you intend to travel. I know in Ontario, there is tons of it in Northwestern and North Eastern Ontario. So finding places to camp should be relatively easy.

In Canada, camping on Crown land is free of charge to citizens/residents.

    Cheers

That trip echos in my brain as very cool, and reminds me of my scooter days.

But between BC and Manitoba I would hazard a guess the only trees along the #1 will be in private Yards or along farmers driveways . . .

. . . you may wish to scoot briskly starting in the morn and getting through the two Provinces before nightfall.

Concerning crown land . . . I'm not sure there is an actual law stating or restricting use by nonresidents ???

Besides late setup and early departure is kinda like STEALTH CAMPING

Just a couple of thoughts from the mind of a . . .

I was thinking the same thing about Alberta and Saskatchewan as far as trees are concerned.

I think the non resident rule for crown land camping involves sending in a fee to the MNR or the relevant gov't agency, but as you said, it is practically STEALTH CAMPING

US citizens must pay to camp on Crown Lands. I am not sure if the fee is the same across Canada, but there is a fee and US citizens must register. We are guests, after all.
