My "Pre-Softened" HG 4S Cuben Has Arrived!!!!!!!

I have spent many hours on HF and HG, lusting after one of these. Always with the same end result. Simply could not justify spending the bucks on one in this economy just to decrease my weight. I already have a Superfly, with removable doors, so I had the 4S part covered.
Flash to last week when Lukesteg offered a used one for sale on HF. I actually missed his first post @ $190.00 (12:30pm on Tues) and could not believe that by the time I first saw it (9:20am Wed) he had already reduced it to $175.00!
For 20 hours and 50 minutes this eluded the watchful eyes of HF members in order to find a new home in MY pack. Absolutely no damage or defects. Since I have never seen a new one in person I would have never have known it wasn't new. Some have described a stiffness in the new ones that softens up after some use. I would describe mine as pre-softened. To top it all off, I called Luke to get his input on attaching pockets for a pole mod and he graciously sent me the cuben pieces and the tape to do it! I already have the mod on my Superfly and have extra lengths of pole left over. I can just untie the shock cord, swap out some pieces and use the same pole on the Cuben. I never would have thought I would ever pull this off for so little $$!
Thanks to HammockGear for a World Class product!
Thanks to Lukesteg for a great deal and selfless generosity.
Once again a great example of the character of members that make this site the wonderful experience it is.

Could a clothes dryer set on air only, along with some new/clean tennis balls, be used to soften a new one?

I'm not saying softer is better, just using "pre-softened" as a tongue in cheek way to say it has been gently broken in.
I wouldn't recommend deliberately speeding up the wear process on any piece of gear.

Missed this inquiry, but +1 on the response.
