You’re right about the boat Granger, I do prefer water travel as my aviator shows. Along with my ground dwelling thermal rest pad. Aha the good old days, not that I can recall what was good about them, uneven ground, bugs crawling in your ears, waits a minute I’m preaching to the choir here. What you don’t see is a very heavy 14 ft fiberglass gheenoe. I’m looking to upgrade to a kayak or solo canoe but I haven’t found one that fits my needs or appeals to me. Maybe the folks that bring theirs will let me try’em out for size, as that they must be using them for the same thing I want it to do.

I'm coming out early, but I'm going to spend the first night on the trail. You are welcome to hike with us if you want.

we are doing our best to put our hang on the map. several of us are doing traditional louisiana recipes to share. i was going to do a breakfast, but now planning cochon de lait saturday night. it will be accompanied by dirty rice and roasted sweet potatoes. a great fall menu.

Sounds like a much better fare than my usual brats-n-beer and dogs-n-kraut. Boy, roasted sweet taters sure sound good. Those gona be acomin with brown sugar yeah? Well, I reckon as youse boys are wantin this to be such an upscale hoedown event I guess I could bring a couple dozen "Okie Ears" of corn for roastin and copious quanities of butter to bath em in to add to the potluck menu. Lookin forward to the hang!

    Oh. My.

Can someone talk about the kayaking/canoeing opportunities at this hang? River? Bayou? Lake? Is there water adjacent to the site, or...?
