    strapworks.com has the right stuff. You can order one strap with loops on each end. Cut it in half and you have your tree straps. 15' strap with 2" loops is what I ordered. Cut to fit your weight and length requirements.

    Not sure where I read it, but somebody discussed using "mule tape" or the pull line that the power company uses to pull the cables with.

    Well it just so happens my brother inlaw works for the power company, I asked him to pick me up some.

    I have about 100 ft of it. I just got my tarp in the mail and waiting on my amsteel and dyneema and I should be ready to set this thing up

    IIRC mule tape is polyester so you are set.
