second hang.....not so good....small tear started. i also see a couple of other spots that are thin. I'm sure if a heal or elbow hits them they will tear too. Any one have to return a table cloth yet.

Yeah this happened to be too, I thought it was a fluke but it made me worry about the longevity of the fabric. Now I am super careful not to let it touch the ground and check my pockets for keys to make sure none are hanging out of my pocket or anything.

Also just a heads up, for me in the dry west, the static on your hair is a real issue to be aware of. It tends to charge your hair pretty nicely.

Interesting, what kind of suspension are y'all using? Did you notice anything in the fabric in the beginning? I've done a couple of hangs in mine and have seen no problems thus far.

If you have gathered or whipped ends, I'd assume you're using around 3 inches on each end, making your hammock length about 120 inches? Therefore, the ridgeline should be 99.6 inches (83% of 120).

I'm going to make sewn channels on mine - fold over about two inches of fabric and triple stitch it, so my ridgeline would be a little longer, 101.26 inches.

And I always make my ridgelines adjustable, even though I hardly ever adjust them.

I passed the tekline through the factory hem, so I don't think I'm loosing much. I have a 100" ridgeline. I'll take some measurements and pics tonight.

The second is my fiancee's. She hasn't seen it yet, but I'm going to take her on a hike and surprise her with it. It's fushia and really did look that bright in the sun.

Sounds perfect. I can't imagine what the problem is unless your whipping is giving you such a center ridge that it kicks you out of whack.

I haven't but I plan to soon! I made a little stuff sack for mine. It fits in my pack very well. I did sleep out in the yard overnight two weeks ago and have taken a few naps in it. Mine is very comfortable. I love it.

Had my sons each spend a night in the one I made (they're only 65 & 75 lbs though) during a trip to 9200 ft. They loved it!
