Is there a difference in the tafetta and the polyester?
I have one. It's heavy, about 4.8 oz/sy IIRC, vs 2.6 oz/sy for the crinkle taffeta.

It also has a much heavier weave and feel to it. Not bad, but not "silky" like ripstop.

Knotty made one he likes. Worth $9 to find out if you're already ordering something else...

Yeah, I got a 156x90" in polyester in order to make a poor man's Brazilian for indoor hanging. I like it a lot but will need to reduce the width. 90" is ridiculous. Creates a roof of material over me.

The poly is good for indoor use because it seems pretty tough so I don't have to worry about how I grab or push on it.

Finally found some time to whip up my 126-60 red cloth. Still trying to find the sweet spot. Haven't had a lot of time to hang but a min or two in it. Just need to finish up my other 2 and everyone in the family will have their own.

I made mine last night. I used Just Jeff's standard whipping at the head end and the W at the foot end. It came out perfect! To give it a finished look I folded each gathered end under and added my whoopies.

Has anyone put guy lines on their tablecloth hammock? I am nto a fan of swing/sway, and I also am prone to motion sickness. I have never had issues in my Hennessy hammock, but 20 minutes in the tablecloth and I was feeling rather uncomfortable.

If you have what did you use for attachment points? Webbing loops, grommets something else?

I haven't on a tablecloth hammock, but have on others.

You can use webbing loops, grosgrain ribbon loops, or even Grip Clips.

I stay away from grommets for most things. They just don't hold up as well as other options.

I used a side tie off on the end of the Lawson BR. It makes it totally stable and there is no swing. Just try going out 90 deg from the head or foot end.

I got some tarp clips at walmart to try out. I'm very pleased with how much it helps. Next step is to dial in were I want the tie outs and then to sew in something permanent.
