    I got mine today...

My 2 60x126 "blanks" came in today. Thanks for the nice review. Looking forward to sewing channels and trying one out. My blanks weighed in at
14.7 oz. Hammock making has a whole new twist thanks to these. And I agree with Tendertoe that channel ends are more comfy...feels flatter with more slack in the sides to me. But ready for a knotty mod if needed.
Gentle raindrops and mighty oceans...neither can exist without the other.
Time heals all wounds...but it usually leaves a pretty big scar.

I just whipped together my double layer gold/champagne 60 x 126. I was going for kind of a dessert camo look, but that didn't work out lol. Just waiting on my suspension kit from arrowhead to try this baby out!

I picked up a chocolate hammock blank thinking it would be more nature neutral. It isn't chocolate, it's more of a bronze. The bling isn't in your face, but it isn't a stealth hammock either.

DivaB, you ended up with a fanfold gather right? I'd think the channel end would make a cocoon out of it myself. I need to play with that 90 again. I kind of put it aside after I finished it. I just did a grab and gather from the middle.
Yea, the fan fold worked much better for me on the 90 (not the 60). Ended up having to change my mothers to the fan fold too (the gather just swallowed her entirely up, kept her quiet though ). Everyone is different in what feels better to them though.

I'm really having a hard time deciding on a color. Navy, silver, sage green, or Apple green. Blue is my favorite color. silver might feel cooler here in hot Florida. I think somebody here at HF already has a sage green (hppyfngy?). I think the apple green might be a little loud, but what the heck.

    Decisions, decisions, decisions...

Does anyone know who sells cheapest suspension kits? I think AHE is $35.

I think it was about $27 shipped for my kit from AHE. (straps, toggles, and whoopies)

Here's a picture of me in my new living room hammock:

    LR hammock.jpg

It's the burgandy crinkle taffeta 60" x 126" from tableclothsfactory. (I know, burgandy is not for everybody! Definitely more "living room" than "woodsy")

Notice my Redoleary mini-spreader bars. They make a super comfortable hammock. After a good amount of time in this hammock, I definitely notice more stretch in my ripstop nylon backpacking hammocks. I like the no-stretch feel. These make great hammocks for the $$$$!

Thanks. Interestingly enough, I've never felt an ENO but it does appear they are made of taffeta and according to others; this material is a bit thicker than an ENO.

Can I ask how you have done your suspension? From the first pic it looks like you have a continuous loop going through the channel and the you have attached your webbing directly to the loop. The webbing then has a couple of half hitches in it to set the suspension length (like the Ray Mears method without the rings). Is this correct?
Exactly right. The Ray Mears method is extremely easy. Plus it's kinda fun to tie a couple knots in the field

I had to take out the gathered end in my 90's because it brought the sides up too high and made floppy side issues. I also don't notice a "give" in any of these. Perhaps I misunderstood that part though. We'll have to have a "Tablecloth hang" sometime What a colorful woods that would make

Will miss you guys at the hang this weekend.
Thanks! My 60 incher may be my go to hammock. The more I hangout in it. The more I like it.

The give I was talking about is just a general feeling of the hammock sagging/cradling you when you lay in it. It feels more "giving" than my ripstop hammocks.

It may be because I've put on a couple pounds though in the past couple months

Has anyone collected information on the weight limits for the tableclothsfactory hammocks? I'd be interested to see some of those specs since I'm thinking about a couple of the 90's as in-law gifts for the backyard.
