prusik knots & WB guy line

    hey hammock people,
so i am really wanting to try the above ridge line and had a question about which tech line or guy line is best for the prusik knot and continual ridge line system? i tried it with guy line ordered from warbonnet and the prusik knots seem to slip. the only line i could find that the prusiks would grab and hold to was paracord. i would really like to use a lightweight tech line, cause i think the paracord is a little heavy and too absorbent. any thoughts or suggestions would be great! thanks

wb line should be of the zingit/lashit family.... and several report great results with 3+ wraps, or the klemheist wrap. break it in some...

I have used Lawson's glow wire,,200 lb strenght for tarp RL's and in 40 mph gusting wind and no breakage or stretch,,many times,,,works great! And prussics as well.

What Brandon has up on his site currently is a woven dyneema, I'm pretty sure this is zing-it/lash-it and yes it will slip a bit when the line is new and still shiny. After a little bit of use your prusiks will start to look dull and soften up then they'll lock up better than you want them to sometimes.

I used the WB line to make my continual ridgeline. I used klemheist knot wrapped 4 times, works great.

It's funny you posted this bc today/tonite I just got done rigging up my eno pro fly guy lines with 1.9 tech line and also use 550 paracord as the RL. Attached 2 prusik loops with the original crap cord that comes standards with ENO on opposite ends and use mini biners to pull the tarp taught.

    Works great!
