One thing to consider is how much you will use the rolled hem foot. I say this because I have found such a learning curve to actually making them work that I find it easier to fold by hand. If this is a one shot deal, decide how much effort and money you want to invest in the project. If you are going to be doing a lot of it (by _your_ definition) then it may be worth getting the hang of those beasties. I never found it worth while... nor did my professional seamstress wife. But you may love them after you figure it out.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

All valid points... The 3mm head was only like $6 and I like learning new skills, I know how to use the sewing machine well enough to sew up pillow cases and curtains... Just never done something that's supposed to hold me in the air... And i have done a rolled hem just didn't know that's what it was called... I just called it doubling over the hem because I hemmed it stitched it then rolled it and stitched again...

I personally think a 3/8" rolled hem double stitched would be much more asthetically pleasing than a 3mm for this application. I do think both would work though.

I thought I should add that 3mm rolled hems are what you commonly see on the hems of satin layers on dresses. Two layers in a 3mm foot will be difficult to make look nice, but it can be done.

I added all I have planned for now... I am not hooked... I enjoy making stuff always have, man's gotta have something to keep his mind occupied... and plus you save money right? (we know that ain't true)... There will probably be a bunch more stuff somewhere down the road but for now that's my list... I just want less bulk/weight than my Gt ultralight and hammock bliss bug net carabiner set up... It's easy to setup but its the size of a gallon of milk and like 2 lbs and i know I can do better...
