Hello from Woodstock VT

Hello all -
My name is Garry Carlson from Woodstock Vt and Carthage NC (snow birds) - My wife made a hand made hammock, the wide, knotted variety and I have been saddled ( a pun considering SHE is a horsewoman as well) with finding a design for the base, made out of wood (because thats what I do!)

I am looking forward to reading about all of the ways to use these hammocks, especially on the upcoming hot nites we are expecting (like the ones we have already been having I mean!)

Thanks in advance for all the information I haven't even read yet!

If woodworking is what you do and your wife took the time to hand knot a full hammock, you'll probably want to make something nice like this or this.

Be sure to post pics when you have that finished!

Ahhhh, Woodstock VT. One of the ten most beautiful villages in the US. Spent Christmas there once many moons ago.

Hi Coach, I worked across the river at St. Gaudens NHS about 15 yr.s ago. What a great area! I paddled that river many times. Welcome!
