Seeing your post inspired me to give it a go. Two liners, 60' of fiberglass reinforced tape, and an hour later I was done. I only taped a single side, with reinforcements backing the seam joining the two liners and at all the grommets.

It looks really good, but I haven't gotten to try it yet. Hopefully soon. Has anyone gotten to test it in the wind and/or rain yet? nm I see its done well in wind and rain.

I'm picking up 4 liners today to experiment. Going to attempt a 4 season tarp just for the h*ll of it.

Interesting project. Nice job. Doesn't do much for privacy though! ;-)) On a more serious note I recall folks using double sided carpet tape to make sails from plastic tarp material. Held up in the wet and pull of sailing. Something you might find useful.

I did however get a little more creative with it and stenciled on the "Lost-Hammock Station" logo to one side...

Think I'll have to steal that logo man.

So I used this tarp over a weekend trip on the AT in CT back in October. A grommet started pulling out the first night. I fixed it with some duct tape for the second night but it pulled out more the second night. In any case, I made it through the weekend.

The tarp was a tad narrow and I got just a bit wet during the rain we had, but I also may have pitched the tarp a little high. It was my first time out so I suspect some user error was involved.

    Anyway, that's my trip report.
