Welcome, Junior Member BeamScout! I wuz just down your way this weekend. Hiked the Foothills Spur Trail from the summit of Sassafras Mountain to Jones Gap State Park, a GREAT hike. Hung along Julian or Matthews Creek (not positive which) in the Heritage Wilderness Area.
Anyway, welcome to HF, from a born-and-bred South Carolinian (though my wife has held me captive in the Volunteer State for lo, these 37 years).
