Maybe there's one and I'm just overlooking it, but it seems like a sticky thread with a list of online sources for materials would be a nice addition to this forum.

The top post could have a list of dedicated cottage suppliers and sites that have relatively permanent selections of materials, more transient deals could be left in the thread by users as well.

Has this maybe been discussed and abandoned as impractical/unnecessary?
