    Leaving tonight 8/28 for Maine

I am leaving the flat lands in Southern NJ this evening after work for the 100 mile wilderness. There are three of going with hammocks. My two friends are first time hammockers. They totally embraced the hammock idea. Both have modified their suspensions. One splurged on the JRB nest/no snivler combo, the other will be using an Oware pad with his down bag.

We are driving up to the northern end of the wilderness and taking a Katadhin air shuttle. It is a seaplane that lands in a lake down by Monson. We will then walk back to the car over the next 9 days.

I'm planning on posting pics and a log on a blog when I get back and will post the link.

Stay warm! It's pretty chilly up there this time of year...

Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.
