So, I read Derek Hansen's book (great read and very informative...things are making more sense) and I liked where he showed an easier way of hanging a HH using a carabiner and a slippery larks head - its simple and easy, its easy to untie and I can see how it simplifies making adjustments.
However, I also saw the method of using a carabiner and two descender rings.
What is the advantage of one vs the other? It seems like the method without the rings is just simpler and less hardware to me.
