Hey all, I've been skulking around the forums for a while gathering some great info. It is time I say hello and introduce myself.
I was recently introduced to hammock camping and was hooked immediately.
I just ordered a TQ/UQ from hammockgear and can't wait. I told my wife, but she wasn't nearly excited enough, so I'm sharing it here. I'm sure you'll all appreciate my anticipation much more.

We share your excitement in your new TQ and UQ: you'll get some good use. I just introduced my brother-in-law to the joys of hammock camping earlier this week up Little Cottonwood Canyon (where, fortunately, the skies were clear from all the smoke!).
I've been working on getting my wife excited about hammocks for maybe five years now, and it is just starting to take. I've converted two of my sons and my nephew into full-time hammockers, though, so at least there might be hope for the rest of your family.

Welcome to the forums! Your going to have so much fun here! A few weeks ago we took a family vacation to your neck of the woods (Torrey, Capitol reef etc) You are really lucky to live in such a wonderful state! (so much to do, so many national parks, so beautiful!)
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Hey, figured I'd introduce myself here instead of starting another thread. I'm from Lehi and wanted to camp in an area where the only two sites that are level are always taken. So that lead me to this forum and it all seams good so, chances are I'll soon be a hanger. Is there a Utah group to subscribe to on this forum? I'll search and see. The cool thing about Utah is that we can go almost anywhere in the state and find ourselves in someplace beautiful. A lot of places without trees though, hmm. Hammocks sure do open up a lot of areas where level ground is sparse. Now how do we get rid of the turds trying to eliminate dispersed camping in the state?
