As long as you didn't have to tote it far
I'm sure it would be a total wind block, but as the temperatures dropped very low, I would think you would still need to add more insulation.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

I wonder if you could make the hammock from reindeer skin?

Bet it would be horribly comfortable! Even comes with a red nose shaped night-light.

Light weight savings if you start your hang on christmas eve. You have to be very very quiet. wait for the sleigh bells and the red nose and when you here foot steps on the Hostel roof pull out the ak and let em have it It'll just take a few more minutes too get the skin! The bonus is you don't have to haul dinner in either Just start the Campfire and you can have santa's deer kabobs in another hour or so, lol! Bonus if you can score some cocoa from the man in the red suit with the horrified expression on his face, LOL!!! You can always use some more coal to keep the fire stoked while dinner cooks!!

I bet it would work well. It would not compress much so you may be able to use it for both bottom and top insulation inside the hammock. Mule
Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.

field dress and butcher it carefully and you may be able to work a bridge hammock out of the skin using the intact legs as the suspension triangle. well maybe not...

PETA is gonna have a fit if they see this thread.

Seriously, I wonder if Native Americans (is that PC these days?) ever used animal skins as a hammock type set-up. I know they used them to make slings for da babies, but I wonder if they ever made the leap and tried to hang grown-up style.
