Part 1 - First WNC Solo Overnighter

This is the first part of my first solo over night trip in Western North Carolina. I had a great time. Please feel free to comment on what I could do better. This is my first hammock video so I am open to critique and suggestions. I hope to make more in the future. The video helped to make the trip more engaging and got my mine off the fact that I was alone and a long way from the car. Thanks in advance for the pointers!

Also how do I embed my video?

Nice vid. To embed, you just copy the nonsensical portion of the URL, which is "41oEV51pKDg" and click on the YouTube thingie in the menu. Insert the nonsensical part between the two YouTubes and voila! You've embedded.

I am very glad to hear that you had a great time and made it back safe. More solos in the future?
The wife tends to like to be thought of while I'm out, nice touch. I would work on the scene transitions, they are a little choppy. I'm not sure if your camera will oblige, but a higher quality would be nice. I'm looking forward to part two.

I camped in Turkey Pen last weekend. It is a great place to camp and fish. I am looking forward to part two. Thanks for sharing your trip.

Thank you! I had no clue. I am sure there is a sticky on this, but I must have not see it or not understood it! Thank you.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will have to pay more attention to that. Do you let the camera roll for a few seconds before you start talking or just work with the fade in/out on the post filming process? I will have to look into the quality piece on my camera. It is only about 2 years old, so I am sure there is a setting that I have not paid attention to.

I think the wife will appreciate the shout out. Hopefully it will make future trips easier for her.

One of my favorite local areas for mountain biking. Glad you enjoyed it. Lots of great spots along that river, especially if you go a little further, and cross the river without bridges a few times.

I do let the camera roll a bit more before and after I talk.
