Any word on a place yet? We are free Oct 6 & 7.. just one overnight so a long drive is out.

I'll keep an eye on this thread but Oct 6 and 7 are out. My parents are having their 50th wedding anniversary. I hope it's any other day.

I have started looking into alternate site availability for our hang. Mohawh Trail is completely booked, DAR is booked and the only way we can get in there is to show up Saturday morining and ask the people in the group site if they would mind having is there, which has the high possibility of being rejected. Sperry Campground on Mt. Greylock has all of the group sites available. There is between a 1.3 and 2.5 mile hike in depending on where you start. I have not really checked out all of the group sites for how the trees are arranged, so I can't say for sure if that is a good option, but will all the sites available, we could probably manage to find trees for everyone. Clarksburg Campground is already closed for the season.

Does anyone else have a good Plan 'B' for location? I am still looking for places to hold us all. We really need to nail down a good location for this. I would hate for this great hang to get cancelled due to not finding a site.

October Mountain has some sites available, Pittsfield State Forest has lots of availability, Savoy has some availability, but I have never been to any of them, so I don't know what the tree setup is there.

Thanks for helping out Raiffnuke. If we stick to the original site we'll have to postpone the hang. I'm traveling on business again but can try to check out Pittsfield State Forest when I get back. Greylock might be a good option. I had hoped to find time to check the sites out before adding as an option but work is killing me right now.

Maybe we can get together for a quick trip to check these sites out soon.
