Glad to hear you are alright. I hope to meet you, and everyone else, at the hang.

Will try but not a definite. That's my favorite time of year to hike so chances are I will be put on the LT putting miles in. We shall see...

Both dates look good to me. But I'm leaning toward September.

Sounds good to me too! I can make it in Sept if it's still open.

===> Wow. Way to soldier-on though! I am glad that it wasn't more extensive than that. Time to watch the Blood Pressure, I guess! You were pretty lucky, but then again, we ain't too easy to kill now, are we. ;D
Stay in touch ... let me know if you need anything.

Sorry for the delay everyone. Messed up my knee in training and wanted to be able to hike in and maybe camp overnight.
I called on Saturday and the guy I talked to said that Dubuque State forest is still closed but to call back Monday for more info. The guy I talked to at the last hang thought it would be opened by now but I'll get an update tomorrow. If it looks like a go I'm going to do an overnighter and get a few pics of the area.
The Kings corner entrance has plenty of parking but no road access. The sign for the road points to the big gravel pile in front of my truck.
Hallockville Rd. is closed but looks passable if they open it up. There's parking for around a dozen or so cars available at the Americorps camp but couldn't find anyone around to confirm how many spots. If we end up going here I can stop back in.
Last pick is of Hawley street from when I tried to find another way in. There use of the words road and street are interesting I never made it to the last Parking area figuring I'd wait until I have more info.
I did get to see a black bear as it tried to run in front of my truck just before I went through the town of Savoy. Sorry no pics, he was back in the woods and heading up the hill by the time I pulled over. We have a ton of them around this year.
