Looks like a great trip even with the heat. Good to see all that water running strong. We are a little on the dry side here in Md TN.

Another great video, MedicineMan! Poof is helping me talk my wife into getting out with me on something more than a car camping trip. I'm almost there!

First... LOOOVVVE that temperature gauge! Please include a link to the site where you bought it. I searched, only to find everything but. It’s coooll as!

I was on day two of a 7 day + 2 walk when you posted this video. I found it and expected a video of your big bike ride, but no.

There’s that temp gauge again, lol, I want one! lol I must have one!

Nice little waterfalls and bridge and there’s that temp gauge again. Spit it out, where’d ya get it?

800 miles of trails... what a place to live near! I’m depressed! I want 800 miles of trails near me! A photo back then of that camp site with all thoughs volunteers wound be really interesting.

I think I remember you riding your bike through that tunnel.

Interesting, almost one sided, communication with that ranger.

Thanks for the video, MedicineMan! It was really enjoyable and makes me want to get back out there and hike, ride and or paddle.

    P.S. Temp Gauge???

Awfully pretty, there, MM. I liked the baking with the Firefly and the river shots.

I hear you on the heat; it's been terrible over the last month or so. I'm really looking forward to "winter" down here in FL, and I'm sure that everyone else is looking forward to fall.

    Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful report MM (as usual), was that a BarkRiver PSK I saw? Sorry to hear of your ailing foot pain, hopefully it eases off enough for you to do the 100 mile wilderness..

Feet suck, they've both had the knife in the past. One of the ironies of life...got the time got the dough but the body is failing. One orthopod told me I'm doing a good job at wearing out my body--just piss genes. Thanks for the thoughts. Will try 3 again this weekend in the Smokies to see just how bad they are.
Brucie, the thermometer was $0.99 at Wallmart and though big it was less than 2 ounces~ Here is the bike ride across Missiouri:

FLRider, we've had a break in temps...currently a blessed 74F and its RAINING which is beautiful!

It's great to see your part of the woods. Nice country side you have there, that's one impressive thermometer.

Phillipsart-you don't mind ConSpeedy do you?
Thanks for the comments. East TN, western North Carolina, and southwest Virginia is truly a wonderful area....hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of miles of hiking trails. Many lakes 20+ miles long for paddling. In the 'cold' winters you can show shoe and cross country ski because of the elevations of some of our peaks----greater than 6000 feet.
We are also around 5 hours to Charleston and the coast for coastal paddling. AND no huge population center close
Temps ---though crazy this summer-- are usually mild with lows ranging in the city of 5F-92F, at my house -10F to 78F.
But best of all features in this area are the local hillybillys !! If they like you they will die for you.
