    fwiw,

any vest can be turned into a jacket with the addtion of jrb sleeves.... add the jrb hood, requires adding a piece of ot to the hood, and you get a full winter parka.... ie bozemzn vest- 5oz, sleeves-5oz,hood-2 oz = 12 parka and eash piece can be used separately or in partial or full combo.

those at mr winter hang08, td08, spring mahha and or show all got to see this set up.... it was also reported at bpl.com after td last year.

again, appoligies for lc... left shoulder/arm still trussed up.

I carry a synthetic vest; great for hiking and around camp. I wore a fleece pullover to sleep in and used the vest as a pillow. Did a good job of insulating my head and neck, but wasn't comfortable sleeping in it.

I take a down vest (snaps, no zipper) and use it as a pillow (super comfortable). If I get cold, I put it on, and I also wear it around camp in the evenings and mornings when it's chilly. I've been really pleased with how that has worked out.
