    SBPro Bugnet lines and rain

My wife and I went to Dollar lake provincial park and hung for 2 days, and it POURED. I learned quick that the Skeeter Beeter Pro bugnet lines are NOT made for the rain. I rigged up some drip lines and for next time I am DEFINITELY going to attach the bugnet lines to the ridgeline of the tarp as someone suggested in another thread, and not to the tree like the instructions say.

Also thinking about taking a hot knife and slitting the little tabs in half (the ones that the but net lines run through, then attach a little velcro or something so i can take down the bug net without having to detach the elastic lines.

I was looking at those lines just yesterday, thinking the same thing. This is the way to go: http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=5045

Yep. I learned that lesson the hard way too. Last time I went out after learning about the buglines, I attached drip lines. Alas, it didn't rain though.

You may be to use Cannibal's technique using Grip Clips and secure the netting to the tarp with some shock cord:
