    ridge line too tight

I got my new WBBB and it seems that no matter how tight or loose I hang it, the ridge line is always very tight when I sit/lay in the hammock. I have it hung about 16' apart and the ridge line is almost perfectly level...just too tight. What am I doing wrong?

The straps aren't high enough up on the trees.

    What Mad777 said

Ya gotta fiddle with the attachment height to get that ridgeline juuuuuuust right.

I am assuming you have watched Brandon's vid on setup? If not, do so.

The trick is to lengthen or shorten the suspension until you get the desired sag in your ridgeline. Once that is obtained, raise or lower the tree huggers to get the desired height off the ground all the while shooting for that elusive 30 degree hang angle.

Failing that, use the hang calculator at the ultimate hang website and that should get you in the ball park.

    Cheers

    Brian,

    Thanks!!

The first time I watched your set-up video I thought you used a head high attachment and watching it again, you clearly were at least 2' above that. I'll be trying it again in the AM and I bet that will fix my problem.

Nice hammock and the workmanship is first rate. I'm sure I will have many pleasant nights in it....thanks again!!
