Using cordlocks yes. ATM I have the replacement shock cord for tent poles on both. Not sure of the size. I will be leaving them on the doors but stepping up in size on the pull outs.

i have a superfly, but don't use full length shockcord on any of my tieouts, doors and panel pulls included.

only shockcord i have is a short length, ~8" long, of 1/8", with loops in both ends, as a tensioner for my panel pulls.

my lines are either speer no-tangle, zpacks z-line, or zing-it - use prussiks at the tarp for adjustment

Had another question, probably not worthy of starting a thread about......

what is the knot/method name of tying/tightening the guylines as seen at around 02:35 in this video?

any one have opinions on how it will hold?
should I tie some kind of knot to make sure it doesn't loosen up throughout the night?

set up my doors with shock cord(shock cord to stake) ... kind of ghetto, but, works.... still working on the side pullouts.

not sure of the knot--- and i started with it.......works real good, esp. with the groundhog style stakes.

i stopped using it, because when i hit snow, i couldn't do the wrap. i wanted a consistent system, regardless of weather... so switched to a new method.
no need for a backup knot, but a slippery half hitch might assuage.

shockcord has stood the test of time...... no problemo. congrats on the tarp setup.

I use guyline only on my tabs and doors, not even tarp tenshioners, then on my pull outs I used 1/8" shock cord cut at 8 foot lengths because is 100% stretch so it can stretch to 16 feet.

On my old SF I had little eyelets sewn into the door tieouts and the cordlocks worked really well with about 3ft of shockcord. A little hook on the end meant I could stretch it across to the opposite side corner tieout ..

    Doors clipped onto opposite tieout

My new SF has the plastic triangle rings on the tieouts, to get cordlocks to work was too much of a faff, I just tied 3ft of shockcord on to my rings and stake that out.

On my side panel pullouts I have 2.5ft of shockcord, I loop those onto my trekking pole and then use a 6ft dyneema line to stake out.

Doors staked out on new SF

    No close up pics sorry

I don't use shock cord with my SF because I sometimes camp below 0F and that seems to be too shocking for the shock cord (it loses it's rebound in the real cold temps). I use 1/4" polypropylene rope and I tie them onto the tarp using a sliped half hitch, to keep tension on the tarp. I tie the rope to the stake and I do all my adjusting up at the tarp, in order to keep out of the snow. It's nice to think about snow and single digit temps when the heat index is 110F.
