Well, I've just had it staring at the monitor night after night quietly reading all this stuff on HF, so...must make comment...
Last week this old Georgia groundling ordered his first-ever hammock, a BB 1.7 single. Overwhelmed as noobs are by the information here, I'd like to say that much as I'm inclined not to understand new ideas without the ol', "what's it gonna take, a ton of bricks?" instruction method, HF is a real pleasure because ya'll take tme to 'splain things, and break it down with purty pictures and such. I get a kick out of Shug - like someone said, he ain't right.
I hke short sections of the AT as time allows (work!).
Everybody's so helpful and friendly - what's up with that? Don't they know this is the internet, and that there's a new order?
I look forward to learning about all things hammocky. Tarps and UQs are on deck now. So much to discover - and it's FUN!
