    On the Cusp...

Greetings! I live in Minnesota and travel to the BWCA & Quetico 3-4 times each summer. I recently purchased a solo canoe and just returned from my first solo adventure which was incredible-until the zipper on the door of my tent failed in an incredibly buggy area. That coupled with the air mattress popping on the same night has me seriously looking into a hammock system.

Looking forward to learning more about them on this site, and I am pretty sure that by the time I take my next trip in early August I will have purchased one.

Welcome from Florida. Sounds like it's time to get off the cusp and get on to a hammock

Hi Frenchy! I used to work up at Isle Royale. So, I know what those bugs are like. Sorry about the failure. Welcome!

Welcome, Frenchy. Doesn't sound like too much fun, fighting bugs and whatnot all night...

    Welcome from NC.

My first camping after years of, well not camping..
convinced me there must be a betteer way than a tent on the ground.

This forum convinced me to put away the tent.
