    kickass underquilt

Hi all: I hope this is an appropriate place to post this.... if not, my apologies. I'm wondering if the Kickass Hennessy Underquilt is available for purchase. I've written their Email contact, but never received a reply. No way could I ever sew that contraption any help on the Kickass folks and their status would be helpful. thanks in advance: RW

I'll sell you mine, it is the smaller size, all black 1.1 DWR, made by Patrick two years ago, it has been used 6-8 nites, not included my porch hangs when the little woman kicked me out of the house.

Patrick doesn't make the quilts anymore. He left the site up so we could all see the DIY instructions. For a while Keith (blackbishop351 on this site) was making them...might PM him and see if he has time for one more, but he's so busy he rarely even posts here anymore.

You could also check out the Warbonnet underquilts if you want synthetic.

If you can even get one of those Warbonnets, they are highly recommended!(by me and a couple of others!)

It doesn't have a velcro slit like a JRB Nest, you just push it out of the way as you enter and exit. It is sized and has tieout loops to accomodate a Hennessy, that is what it is made for.

Hello,I was wondering how much it would cost for someone to build a KAQ.

I would do it myself but no sewing machine, and not really a DIY person.

I would need it big enough for my HH Explorer Deluxe A-sym

Any color is fine,But i rather it be something that blends in,Not like bright green =].

If you build it from one 5oz layer of climashield and use Momentum 90 fabric from Thruhiker.com (they have a brown color in the momentum), and build a 3/4 length (so you can use the 60in width of the fabric lengthwise), it'll run you about $70 or so for materials, if you already have thread.
