    Hello from Northern Virginia!

Hi! VATriker here. I have been lurking for about a year and a half. I am a noobie on hammocks. HF has been a real education on hammock camping and hammock gear. I have two hammock setups, one a gathered end (no name off ebay) with ENO bugnet and DD Hamocks 3x3m tarp. The other (newer) is a JRB Bear Mountain Bridge Hammock set up with whoopie slings and a Chinook 12x9.5ft tarp.

At the end of this month I will be participating in the PTNY Hudson Valley bicycle tour. I will be using my BMBH as much as possible during this week-long bicycle tour. The tour starts in Albany NY, and ends in New York City, approximately 300 miles total. The event will have somewhere between 600 and 800 riders. My bike is a Wizwheelz Terra Trike. That is a tadpole recumbent tricycle (two wheels in front, one in back).

If I get some good pics of my hammock setup at the event I will be sure to share them here. Cheers! VATriker

I just did support duty at the national 24 hour challenge and brought along the hammock. I can tell you, the tours are a lot easier in the hammock than in the saddle! Good luck!

    Welcome from Indiana!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

Welcome from WV. Hope you'll think about joining us at Gathland State Park, MD 3rd weekend in Oct. The fall MAHHA hang. Lots of cool people, lots of cool stuff and way too much fun! Family friendly. More info will be posted in near future.
