Weight on WB Big Mamajamba Tarp?

I just got my WBBB 1.7 DL and a Big Mamajamba tarp which I love (Thanks Brandon). I pulled out the scale today to update my gear list and the tarp weighed in at 19.5 oz. not the 13.5 oz listed on the WB site. This was with the stuff sack and ~ 30 foot of 1.7 mm spectra ridgeline attached which probably adds an ounce but still was a little surprised at this. Curious if anyone else has the weight of their tarp handy for a comparison?

BTW... the hammock itself came in a few ounces light 38.2 oz instead of the 40 oz listed on the WB Site, including the stuff sack and a couple of CAMP Nano carabiners .
    see you on the trail,
    Mike

For some reason I recall the older mamalamba's were smaller. IIRC the new ones are the same size as the Superfly with out the doors. I could be mistaken but my memory is telling me this.

You could always take off the ridgeline any any extra cordage, clips, biners used to attach the tarp and weight just the base tarp in the stuff sack.

It's hard to believe the listed weight would be off by 6 ounces.

    Cheers

Brian - you were spot on - I forgot I had put some shock cord on the tie-outs and when I weighed it it was 1.2 oz per piece which accounts for most of the difference.

It willl definitely be coming off or I'll be looking for smaller diameter cord will use a piece of spectra line there as well. Any suggestions for a light-weight rigging approach to use there would be appreciated.

    Thanks!
    see you on the trail,

Well, I'm so bored while waiting for this summer heat to end that I took all tieouts and ridgeline off my BMJ to weigh it. Mine came in at 14 oz in the stuff sack. With my scale I can only weigh to the nearest ounce but at least it is within one ounce of the advertised weight.

Curiosity killed the cat...In the sack with 8' guys and a 30' ridgeline made from zing it my Spinn BMJ is 13.1 oz (15.2 with six ti stakes). I really just wanted to hug my new 10 D Burrow, but that's a topic for another thread!

Coming in at 15.6 oz. with stuff sack and a 30' ridgeline and 6' tie outs on the corners. That also include a Nite Ize Knot Bone, a Figure 9, and two #1 S-Biners.

Like to put shock cord on the pull-outs but also want to keep the weight as low as possible. Any suggestion on how to rig those with 1/8" shock cord for a good balance of weight and convenience?

Perhaps some sort of Y type setup so I could limit the amount of cord?
    see you on the trail,
    Mike
