    What's your favorite Ridge Line?

I've been using 550 para cord for a structural RL a couple of different nights. My ridgeline always lengthens during the night. I've just read here that even thought the 550 is strong, it still stretches! I thought my knots were slipping!

Oh well, live and learn. I'm considering getting a whoopie sling RL for around $12 + shipping. I like the idea of it being adjustable, but at the same time, once I get the proper RL length dialed in, just a fixed line would be fine.

What do you think is my best option?
It will go on my ENO DN.

Adjustable is great to have to really dial in. when I get the length i want, I measure it out and replace it with a fixed length. The adjustable goes to another (new most likely) hammock and I start the dial in process again!

What type of line do you use for the "fixed" length?

You already know how long it needs to be, assuming you've done your homework with the 550...get some Lash It, and get on it. It's easy to splice, but you don't have to splice, knots work, just not as cool, and a bit weaker.

I use 650 paracord and a figure 9 carabiner for RL tensioning. So far, so good.

I'm using 1.75mm Zing-it or 1.2mm Tech Line from DIYGearSupply.

    1.75mm zing-it being used here......add a couple tarp flyz and it's a done deal

On my tarp I switched from 550 paracord to tech line from diygearsupply. I use a dutch hook (very small, lightweight and cool) on one end and a tarp flyz (from dutch) on the other end. This works great and is a lot lighter than 550 paracord with mini biners.
