    My first home made hammock!

We put over 450lbs in this thing and hung for about 15 minutes. The picture only shows me in it. I'll take a pic of me, my son, and my daughter in it later. I made this for my son. I made a bag like the one many of you use. It was actually easier than I thought. I used table cloth material for it.

Please let me know what you think. I want to make another one but I want to make it a little smaller for me to use during the winter.

Good job!! Tablecloths to the rescue. I still think we should hold a "colorful tablecloth" hang some day.

    Very good.

What length and width did you use? Is it taffeta? Doesn't look shiny.

It's 11FT long and 54 inches wide. It's not taffeta. It was in the discount area. I do know its 100% polyester. It weighs more than my Grand Trunk single. It is definately thicker than the GTS. Which means it may be good for winter hangs.
