Regular Size Bag For A 6 ft. Hammocker?

I'm wanting a new bag, not a quilt. Around a 20F bag. My problem is that I'm 6'0", and a little portly. Most of the regular 6 ft bags I've tried were too constraining, lengthwise, especially for hammock usage. I could fit in them, but they were too short to flex my foots. Trying them out in an outdoor store is impractical where I live. I want to save weight and packspace, so are there any suitable bags that I can get in a regular length, instead of going with a long 6'6" or even a 6'4" Montbell?

As someone who's exactly 6', unless you go to some oversized bag like an old Mammoth or Goliath (not advised, heavy), you'll be better off just getting a long. I find that all those "fits to six foot" labels are for people who lay flat on their back with their feet pointing straight up and don't move, as you also discovered. To save weight and packspace, just get a better as well as bigger bag. Sorry.

IMHO 2cents worth

I am 6'3" and weigh 260. I use a Big Agnes Encampment long and have plenty of room to sleep on my side and pull my legs up if I want.

Coldspring,

Some bags tout a foot box.

I am 5-11 / 180 / 35-36 waist AND
desire extra foot room as well as
variable ventilation / drying.

I am 5'11 190#s and just went with a North Face Cats Meow Long...all REI had here was a Right zip. I gave it a test drive in my UL Backpacker (also a new purchase) and it seemed to work well. I stuffed a half inflated thermarest in it and that seemed to work fine too. Heading into the woods Tuesday where the lows will be in the 30s. Do you all think the left zip makes that much difference?

The left zip can be a real benefit for the HH. The bottom erntry and a-sym lie places the sleeping bag to your right as you climb in backwards. The left zip allows you to throw the top of the opened bag away from you which means you don't have to climb over it and bounce around trying to get it organized. Or at least not as much. That's why lots of hammockers use quilts or open their bags as quilts.
