But hey I promised I wouldn't bring the cold with me this year! In any case I'm bringing warm stuff. Florida 70 degrees feels colder to me than TN 70 degree.
It's all that humidity that makes a difference.

Had a cold first night last time. Hoping to avoid a repeat this time; my new insulation should be done by trip time. Barring any unforseen circumstances...

In case of rain, we got a 24'x40' WW blue tarp for the central area.
Gramwienies will have to look at it and sigh.

That will be great since there is a small chance of showers. Also, are you bringing your sherpa to carry it in for you? Then you don't have to worry about the grams

I'm bringing something like a 10'x20' Wally World tarp but I don't have any poles to support it, so we'll have to get creative (shouldn't be a problem for this group)

A group I use to camp with in the 90's use to have a saying when we discussed rain..."Tarp The World"! Just bring plenty of rope.

With a little rain coming and your tarp and Timberrr's tarp, we can have a wonderful slip-n-slide from the firepit straight into Buck Lake How's that for being creative. I'll bring extra camp soap.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
