Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
Doesn't matter to me, everything I've eaten at the Hang comes out good. I kinda planned on being it the cook area most of the weekend either cooking, prepping or eating.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
I think we need to stick with tradition. And I'm willing to throw in my crude kitchen skills on Fri.

That shrimp boil certainly stands out as one of my favorite memories of each Florida Hang! (And I'm a pork lover). I'll be in the kitchen too, either way we want to go.
Of course, there's the old adage, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Looks like a boil then. So boil and Gumbo on Saturday? Chicken and Sausage Gumbo for those who don't like or can't eat seafood. Or do we just pass on Gumbo this year?
BBQ on Friday. I will have two DO's with me this year. Both the large 8qt. variety.

Lets make sure that with the boil, we have something a bit more Kosher friendly to serve with it, as a few of us aren't supposed to eat shrimp and sausage(although it is gooooood!)
Your gumbo is to die for, Gumbo!
But we have to get you out of the kitchen. Maybe with all us sous chefs, you can supervise the gumbo and others can learn how to carry in the tradition.

Oh no PLEASE don't pass on the Gumbo! It's what I look forward too! I didn't get any in Grayson Highlands this year so I'll help with that all you want me too! Besides I'm allergic to shrimp...real allergic!
